Reenactment at Morton’s Ford Battlefield

As told by History Boy (aka Jacob Bates) on his YouTube channel, the day was excellent for a reenactment at Morton’s Ford. History Boy invites you to “experience the march and river crossing as the Connecticut Volunteers become the first men to cross Morton’s Ford, Virginia since the battle In 1864.” The nearly half-hour-long show includes interviews from key leaders of the modern-day battlefield preservation movement to save Morton’s Ford, historical music, first person footage, and professional photographs of the reenactment event. History Boy says in his video description that watching it you will see why “Morton’s Ford is a place worth preserving for future generations - and how Civil War reenactment helps this land come to life.” We hope you enjoy the show!
